OUTLAND ENTERTAINMENT TO PUBLISH TAVIS HANSON’S COMIC THE BEAN IN FULL COLOR

Independent Publisher Outland Entertainment to Publish Full-Color Issues of Travis Hanson’s Comic The Bean

Kansas City, MO: Outland Entertainment is pleased to announce a collaboration with Travis Hanson to publish full-color graphic novels of the original black and white comic, The Bean. Like being whisked away from grayscale Kansas and awakening in Technicolor Oz, fans of The Bean can finally hold the full-color story in their hands.

The Bean is the story of a dishwasher who is kidnapped and finds a broken sword that he needs to heal before the armies of the beast king destroy the realm of the broken moon. In the story you’ll find prophetically rhyming ogres, a love story, and a young boy’s quest to find his father and heal a sword.

Nominated for the 2011 Eisner Awards for Best Digital Comic, The Bean was originally created in 2001 and has been published as a webcomic and four black and white graphic novels.

The Bean creator, Travis Hanson, says, "I am super excited to be able to return to the world of the broken moon and finish the quest with my friends at Outland Entertainment."

And the feeling is mutual. “I'm a long time fan of The Bean,” says Outland’s Founder and Creative Director, Jeremy Mohler, “and I've known Travis for years, so I was absolutely thrilled when he decided that Outland would be a good fit for The Bean!"

Kickstarter for The Bean is to be released in November, 2020.
