FOX & WILLOW ACQUIRED BY OUTLAND ENTERTAINMENT

Grim Fairy Tale Webcomic Finds New Home with Transmedia Publisher

TOPEKA, KANSAS (December 19, 2019)—Fox & Willow, an online grim fairytale series, has been acquired by Outland Entertainment. Written by Allison Pang and illustrated by Irma ‘Aimo’ Ahmed, Fox & Willow debuted in April 2012 and has maintained a strong fanbase ever since. Following the runaway princess, Willow, and her mischievous fox spirit companion, Gideon, the overarching plot centralizes around uncovering Willow’s past and Gideon’s mysterious curse. Yet, fairytales, such as from “Rapunzel” to “The Two Sisters,” are interwoven throughout each adventure with just enough familiarity for readers to identify.

“Since its launch in 2012, Fox & Willow has been an amazing journey for both me and Aimo,” says Fox & Willow writer Allison Pang. “Aligning with Outland Entertainment provides us a wonderful opportunity to expand the world and its outlet potentials while continuing to send our favorite characters on new adventures and explore new fairytales from around the world. I’m excited to see where this next journey takes us, Willow, and Gideon.”

“I’ve been following this comic since it launched, and I couldn’t be more pleased that Allison and Aimo chose Outland for their print home,” says Outland Editor-in-Chief Alana Abbott. “Not only do they deconstruct traditional fairy tales in a way that allows us to explore those stories from a new perspective, but they tell a truly compelling story.”

Now working closely with Outland Entertainment, Fox & Willow plans to follow Outland Entertainment’s previous successful projects, including an upcoming Kickstarter to fund print versions of the webcomic.
