Outland Entertainment is thrilled to publish in conjunction with Dedren Snead the newest stories of his Sorghum and Spear World, The Way of Silk and Stone, an anthology featuring the stories of the Anf're warrior women.
A fantasy series of only African women. Heroines and antagonists. Mystical and ordinary, they could be found in any place, any time, and were not slaves or servants, but rambunctious mercenaries and revered griots. Goddesses even. No limit to what could be and what to become.
A gift of freedom and of hope, granted by the Goddess of Light, Eshe, The All-Mother, who created the Anf're women in her image.
This anthology is edited by Sheree Renée Thomas with a forward by Nisi Shawl. Contributing authors to the anthology include Dedren Snead, Valjeanne Jeffers, Zelda Knight, Nicole Givens Kurtz, J.S. Emuakpor, Daniel Hand, Colleen Anderson, Teresa Schile, Dominique Weldon, Kenesha Williams, Alicia McCalla, G Dean Manuel, Sarah Macklin, Violette L. Meier, Oghenechovwe Donald Ekpeki, and Eugen Bacon.
With a little less than two weeks left, we're looking to raise $5,000 for the production of this anthology. Reward levels include digital and hard copies of the anthology as well as digital and hard copies of Sorghum & Spear: Harvest of the All-Mother, Snead's graphic novel set in the same World.
Pledge now to help make this anthology a success!
