What's It About: Once, the gods of life and death walked the realm of man. Now, they have been slaughtered. When the Mother of Spring died, the world was cast into endless winter. When the Death Mother fell, her final curse raised dead wildlife as ravenous revenants. Mortals live out their bitter, cold days in their villages, ruled over by an anti-theological regime as they struggle against the feral dead and secretly pray for the rebirth of the gods. Magic and witchcraft has been outlawed, though some sorcerers still practice their art in secluded and god-touched places. The remnants of the gods are scattered throughout the world, sought by those who wish to forget divine power as well as those who long to remember.
