In Short: When the multiverse is threatened by reality devouring rips, a former soldier teams up with a younger, flightier version of her mentor to save them all.

What's It About: Charlie Chase is on a mission to save the multiverse. But after she closes a reality-destroying rip, she’s stuck on a different version of her own world with no way home. When she seeks out her mentor’s multiversal equivalent, she’s dismayed by the younger, more reckless version, more socialite than scientist. Still, Vera Baum is a force to be reckoned with, and the two are soon hopping through worlds and genres, chased by mechanical dogs and interdimensional parasites. If they can figure out the connections between worlds, maybe, just maybe, they can save all of them. In a collaboration that spanned time zones and half the world, Pelletier and Taylor create a madcap adventure that plays with genre conventions, including car chases, coffee shop romances, and dragon-punching fantasy heroes.

Creator

Sara Pelletier - Author
Sarah Thérèse Pelletier is a Canadian writer. Under the pseudonym J.T. Rogers, she co-authored her first novel, In from the Cold, while pursuing her teaching certification. A perpetual student, she has degrees from the University of Calgary and McGill University and will read basically any book she can get her hands on. She is an educator and an editor, a chronic collector of hobbies, and generally curious about the world around her.

Scott James Taylor - Author
Scott James Taylor lives in Auckland, where he watches television for money, a career option surpassed only by making up stories for money. His writing is the conclusion of a journey that began when he first read a Terry Pratchett novel at age eleven and learned that fantasy could have jokes in it. He has joint psychology and computer science degrees, a combination probably only useful in writing weird science fiction novels. This is handy in retrospect as it makes it look like there was some kind of plan.
