Apex Kickstarter Update

Apex Kickstarter Update

Hello everybody!

A quick update on the status of the upcoming Apex Theropod: Deckbuilding Game Collected Edition Kickstarter.

We had expected to launch the Kickstarter last week, but it took a little longer than we anticipated to get all the details in from the printer. We want to make sure we’re doing this absolutely right so we can deliver as soon after the campaign as possible. The only way to do this is to make sure that everything we can possibly consider in terms of cost of printing and shipping is as close to accurate as possible.

Right now, we’re expecting the remaining details from the printer to arrive early next week and depending on that info, we’ll move forward accordingly.

Our goal is to launch within the next several weeks and we’ll keep you all updated as we find out more news.

I’m really hoping this new kickstarter will have update packs for people who have the original Apex game; especially if there’s a new 1st player marker, mine is broken!

thank you

Hello Alex – we’ll be offering all the expansions through the Kickstarter!

We aren’t going to be offering that first player marker again, however. That’ll be unique to the second edition of the game.

To clarify, will those of us that have the previous edition be able to pledge for JUST the expansions we need? Thanks for any answer and sorry for my confusion.

Also, will there be an add-on for special T-rex glue? Mine broke as well! 🙂

Will there be a print and play pledge like in the first kickstarter? I would be jumping right over it, and I know many others from various PnP groups that would like to go for that. There are also many parts of the world where shipping is killing all the will to back kickstarters. PnP pledge would be perfect for us living in these areas.

Hello Aleksandar –

No, we won’t be doing a print and play pledge. We’re looking into ways, though, to ship directly from each major area to reduce shipping costs. There will be more about that throughout the campaign. Thanks!

Hopefully the local-ish shipping thing works out, because the cost of non-EU/UK-friendly shipping gets prohibitive. I’m really keen to back the game, but paying high shipping costs plus VAT plus the Royal Mail ransom money would make me think twice.

We are wondering if you had all the remaining details from the printer and in that case when will you give the approximated date for the beginning of the kickstarter.

I have been looking forward to this! Will the Exotic Predators expansion cards (the Alpha cards and additional Apex cards for Quetzalcoatlus and Sarcosuchus decks) be made available during this Kickstarter campaign? Even if not, I’m still excited for this campaign to launch!
