Open for Business
Welcome to Outland Entertainment. This year has brought about some momentous changes for the company. In 2010, Matt Jacobs left to pursue promising work in LA. I stepped in as Jeremy’s business partner, and we began thinking of ways to rework Outland for 2011.
While Jeremy has continued to work on projects under OE, both of us felt that we could turn it into something bigger – A home for all of our creative projects, and perhaps a meeting place for other artists working in the industry. So we came up with the idea of splitting the company into three subsidiaries:
Outland Creative will continue to offer the same quality creative services that OE always did – Illustration, art direction, copywriting, website development, and more. Creating excellent professional work for clients has always been a vital part of this company. Outland Creative is always accepting new work.
Outland Entertainment is where we will publish and promote our own fiction and webcomics. Baeg Tobar, Jeremy’s epic fiction site, will launch first. Then we will begin rolling out others.
Outland Collective is an online gallery for artists and friends. The site is still in development, but Jeremy already has a handful of amazing artists lined up.
This has been a long process that involved many hours of discussion, some very hard decisions, and a few fruitless visits to the bank. In the coming months, we have approximately ten million things to do to get everything up and running smoothly. But here we are! Open for business.
